Latest Injury News: Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Detroit Lions opened up practice today with positive news on the injury front. Center Frank Ragnow returned to Lions practice and was with the first team. Earlier this week, Ragnow missed practice with a groin injury, and concerns about him missing Sunday’s game versus the Eagles came to light.
Today before practice head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media about Ragnow
“We’ll know a lot post-practice. I think it’ll tell us a ton, but I know he wants to give it a go. He had a smile on his face this morning, so I take that as at least a step in the right direction,” said Head Coach Dan Campbell when he spoke to the media on Friday.
With Ragnow practicing with the Lions, it looks good for him starting Week 1.
Lions backup guard Tommy Kraemer did not practice today and looks like he will not play Sunday.
“As it pertains to Kraemer, I would say he’s probably … it’s looking a little grim for him,” Campbell said.
If Kraemer cannot go, Lions’ third-string guard Logan Stenberg will replace Halapoulivaati Vaitai on the right side of the offensive line. Stenberg will have a big task ahead of him against going up against one of the best defensive lines in the NFL.
