Lions Sign A Player And Injuries Are Mounting
The Lions continue to have injuries mount as the week rolls along. Cornerback Amani Oruwariye left practice during warmups for an undisclosed injury. If Oruwariye cannot go Sunday, it would be a gigantic blow to the Lions’ secondary that is already hurting with CB Jerry Jacobs being on injured reserve.
Lions star running back D’Andre Swift missed his second day of practice to an ankle injury. This is said to be a rest day for Swift who should play Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
Backup guard Tommy Kraemer has been placed on IR after suffering a back injury in last week’s practice. Kreamer will not be eligible to return to the Lions lineup until Week 7 vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Kreamer’s injury hurts as he is the second right guard to go down in a week. Guard Logan Stenberg will be the starter alongside guard Penei Sewell and center Frank Ragnow.
With Kreamer being placed on IR, the Lions signed offensive lineman Kayode Awosika off of the Eagles practice squad. Awoskia is a universal offensive lineman that can play on all parts of the line.

“He can play all parts of the offensive line, he can play left tackle, he can play right tackle, he can play both guard spots, and I’m sure in a pinch he can play center,” MicroMike continued on, “and with all of the injuries mounting for the Lions offensive line, that is really important.”
The injuries are piling up for the Lions and hopefully, some of these players can play; if not, the Lions could be in trouble in the upcoming weeks.
